please read - by booking a workshop you are stating that you have read our terms & conditions, understood them and agree to them.

  • These are the terms and conditions for attending a pottery workshop at Pop Up Potter with Beverley Sommerville. In signing up for a workshop you agree to all the terms and conditions within this section.

    If you do not agree with these terms and conditions then you must not purchase or sign up for a workshop.

  • You must be 18+ years of age.

    Payment must be received in full at the time of booking. 

    Places on courses are not reserved until payment is made in full.

  • These terms refer to cancelling a place on a workshop and subsequent requests to reschedule to another date or a request for refunds. 

    In the event Pop Up Potter needs to cancel a workshop participants will be offered a full refund of any fees paid or offer a possible alternate course, with no admin fee.

    There is a £5 admin fee to process a refund or reschedule over 15 days prior to a workshop and a £15 fee 14 days and under.

    Workshops will start on time so therefore late arrivals will not be refunded or rescheduled. 

    15 days or more before the workshop your entitled to reschedule to another date, subject to availability. A full refund can also be offered, subject to an Admin fee of £5.

    14 days to 8 days before the workshop your entitled to reschedule to another date, subject to availability. A 50% refund can also be offered, subject to an Admin fee of £15.

    Less than 7 days before the workshop or on the day of the event no reschedule and no refund will be offered.

    The cancellation policy applies regardless of how the booking was paid for, by cash or card.

    Non-attendance of a workshop cannot be refunded or rescheduled for any reason.

    In order to cancel or reschedule a workshop you must send a written notification by email using the terms specified in these terms and conditions to beverleyvilleceramic@icloud.com

  • The main risk to health when working with clay is the fine dust that can be created, as this can accumulate in the lungs and in time can cause Silicosis. Whilst attending the workshop we use sharp tools, some electrical equipment and some heavy materials.

    For everyone’s Health and Safety please follow these workshop rules:

    • Familiarise yourself with these rules and follow them.

    • There shall be no scraping or sanding of bone dry clay. Fettling with a damp sponge can be used as an alternative.

    • Clean area and tools with a wet sponge only. NEVER BRUSH dry clay.

    • Be aware of your surroundings and watch for slip or trip hazards. Spillages should be dealt with and cleaned up as soon as possible.

    • Pop Up Potter is not responsible any damage caused to work and is not responsible for any work, belongings or personal items brought to the workshop going missing or getting stolen or damage.

    • Eating and drinking are not permitted in the workshop.

    • Always wash your hands thoroughly with soap before leaving the Workshop. Always make sure hands are clean before you eat, drink or smoke.

    • All workshop participants accept all responsibility for their own Health and Safety and must follow all Health and Safety rules and instructions by staff.
