inspired by iceland and the beauty of its natural world, with its stark contrasts and geological extremes, in particular those between the volcanic and glacial terrains, and the dark of winter and the light of summer. some of the inclusions react with the porcelain, glaze, and the high firing temperatures, creating layers of geological interest forming its own landscapes throughout the piece.
