this is an ongoing collection, which reflects on the place i call ’hometown’ – grimsby town in north east lincolnshire. it was once a thriving fishing port, the largest in europe, but it is currently struggling to find and create an identity, to allow itself to look to the future. though i no longer live in the town my family are still based there and it is very dear to me. new energies are beginning to form with a large creative community is at its core, with new possibilities and exciting times. i am always conflicted with sentimental emotions on my visits and this collection attempts to captures some of those memories and reminiscences.
